Criminal Defense Attorneys / Reckless Driving / DWI / Holiday Weekends

Thoughts to Consider Before the Holiday Weekend

With the July 4th Holiday around the corner, it’s important for everyone to remember to stay patient on the roads and be careful driving. You and your family’s safety and well-being come first, along with everyone else on the road.

But also remember that, as always, police historically step up their enforcement efforts on these types of weekends. Fairfax County just recently finished up their Road Shark 2024 Initiative, and are sure to carry efforts over through the Holiday. This includes enforcement of speed limits and DWI laws.

So if you’re going to be drinking, be sure to have an alternative ride available. If you’re out on the roads, be sure to have any broken tail lights, brake lights and/or headlights in working order. Also, make sure your registration and plates are up to date. Issues with defective equipment and improper registration often lead to inconvenient stops, along with traffic citations. They can also lead to the investigation of, and charging with, a DWI.

If you’ve been, or get charged with, Reckless Driving or DWI, it’s important to have the help of experienced Criminal Defense Attorneys. Tom and I have been very successfully doing this kind of work since 1994. We’re happy to be there for you, and help you fight to make sure you get through the with the best outcome possible.
